Pitot tubes offer distinct advantages in engine applications due to their resistance to contamination and low pressure drop. They exhibit exceptional dynamics, enabling ultra-fast measurements. The truckflow pitot tube, in particular, is highly recommended for measuring air volumes before and after compressors, as well as for determining recirculated exhaust gas (EGR). 

Systec pitot tubes are designed to measure polluted and aggressive gases, liquids, and vapors. In our pursuit of product optimization, we collaborate with esteemed external partners such as the Technical University of Munich, the University of Erlangen, the Fraunhofer Institute, and TÜV Süd.

The truckflow pitot tube features a superior, patented measurement profile characterized by high linearity, insensitivity to contaminants, and a response similar to a crankshaft breather, allowing for extremely rapid measurements. Unlike thermal flow measurements, the truckflow pitot tube does not exhibit deviations in measured values due to deposits. It effectively measures gases throughout the engine’s operating time, spanning up to 1,000,000 miles, even at elevated temperatures without the need for cooling.
