The new generation of this proven sensor platform measures with even greater accuracy
With the new TFI4C, systec Automotive is introducing the next generation of its TruckFlow sensor platform for air mass measurement in engines. This new version of the sensor platform is designed to provide greater measurement accuracy and temperature stability in real-world operating conditions.
To test the performance of the new sensor platform, systec Automotive used its own test benches. For tests under real-world conditions, however, the company collaborated with customers. One existing customer in the commercial vehicle sector tested the TFI4C for 6,500 hours across four vehicles and then spent an additional 11,000 hours testing the new TFI4C on a test bench.
This combination provided a robust basis for evaluating the sensor’s performance in real-world operation and gave the customer the information needed to decide to order the new sensor platform.
Higher measurement accuracy and temperature stability for more precise EGR control
While the TFI4C does not offer entirely new possibilities for engine developers, it does provide significantly improved ones. Its more precise measurement values improve exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) control. This allows for better emissions control, increasing the engine’s efficiency and extending its service life.
